I just bought a vertical Riccar dyson - the Radiance - and it does not take best pressure I've had. It was an expensive purchase but i think it's worth every penny and i can't fault it. However, I recently met one who bought a Riccar upright vacuum a few years back and they told me about complications they had after deploying it on damp carpet.
